Cindy has been a volunteer member of WI K9 SOS since April of 2016. She became interested in Search and rescue while doing nose work training and tracking with her dog Hookah. Currently she is training in live area searches with her dog Hookah. She has completed the training in NIMS, SAR TECH III (National Association of Search and Rescue), K9 First Aid/CPR, Human first Aid/CPR/AED, Crime Scene Preservation, Blood Borne Pathogens. Is knowledgeable with compass, maps and use of a GPS. Cindy is continuing her education on Scent Theory, Lost Person Behavior and becoming a SAR Tech II/ compass and navigation skills.

Hookah, CGC: A Dutch Shepherd born February 2012.   Hookah loves people and all the attention they can give him. He thinks children are the greatest people to play with.   Hookah loves his search work and is always eager to make his find. He is currently training for his certification in Live Area Searches/Air Scent. Hookah obtained his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) title in May of 2013. He was fortunate to attend the Miles Paratus 2016 exercises at Fort McCoy, WI.   To honor his participation he received the service medal of Sergeant, presented by WI CERFP and the United States Army.
