Mary has been involved in search and rescue since 2002. Mary has participated in numerous searches in WI, MI and IL. She has been on the Board of Directors of WI K9 SOS and is currently the Scout Training Coordinator. She is responsible for helping train both new and existing members with their Scout Skills. Mary holds a SARTech II certification with NASAR (National Association of Search and Rescue). She has additional training in scent theory, First Aid, CPR and K9 First Aid. Mary is a Civil Engineer and also holds a Structural Collapse Specialist Certification as well as NIMS certifications through FEMA. Mary’s current K9 Partner is Calvin. Calvin is Mary’s third K9 search partner. Mary is currently an apprentice instructor in Trailing with L.E.T.S. and is working towards full instructor status in 2020.

Calvin is a German Shepherd who is certified through L.E.T.S. (Law Enforcement Training Specialists) in both Trailing and Land Cadaver. He has certified yearly in Trailing since 2016 and Land Cadaver since 2018. Calvin has a great work ethic and will continue working until the job is done. 2020 or 2021 may bring Hobbes, a little brother for Calvin.

Calvin has secret dreams of being a Fireman. He would love to drive the back of the Hook and Ladder Truck and if that doesn’t work out he would like to fly in a helicoptor.
