Tom

Tom has been a SAR volunteer since 2014 and has participated in searches in CO, WI, and MI. He believes a day working with his canine and colleagues is as close to heaven as he is likely to get. He maintains a SAR Tech II certification through NASAR (National Assoc. for Search and Rescue). Tom has completed ICS/NIMS, Wide Area Search, Human and K9 First Aid courses. Tom is a certified scuba divemaster. When not working with canines, Tom enjoys diving black water tidal rivers in search of artifacts.

CayVic (Gator VOM GILDAF) is a male German Shepherd Dog born Jun/2015. He was re-named in memory of my parents Catherine and Vincent, who always told me to “go pet the neighbor’s dog” upon my frequent requests for a dog of my own. CayVic is certified in Trailing through L.E.T.S. International (Law Enforcement Training Specialists) 2017-present. CayVic is also Human Remains Detection (HRD) certified for land and water through L.E.T.S. International 2018-present. Previously CayVic was certified in Trailing through NASDN (North American Search Dog Network). (Photo by Bonita Sheese)
